Advancing Digital Learning in a Traditional System

This report presents an exploratory study with three interviewees in Uruguay: a private school director Montevideo, APREnDER and Plan Ceibal employee who occupies leadership position. The semi-structured interviews were conducted between November, 2020, May, 2021, centered on the leaders’ experiences to implement suitable teaching outreach strategies continue providing education. findings suggest that Uruguay’s digital learning strategy has grappled conciliating traditional views education learning. They further point not all schools using resources during pandemic even when these available them their students, which suggests some cases divide originated by choice (Gunkel, 2003). socio-economic gap seems then depend so much lack of means acquire technological devices, but balance traditionally valued system incorporation new technologies.
